Welcome to the Pontedera’s front yard! The Hiawatha neighborhood, also referred to as the Jackson Place Community, is an area undergoing rapid change from a mostly commercial district to a true mixed-use neighborhood with homes, restaurants, parks and services. Its location will served by public transportation and quite devoted to Seattle’s growing cadre of bicycle commuters and recreational riders. In fact, the I-90 bike trail runs right by the Pontedera front door.

Once Seattle’s original “suburb”, this classy and classic part of town features Seattle University, Seattle Community College and a host of businesses and heritage residential neighborhoods. For dining and entertainment, be sure to check out the famous Broadway District. At the end of the #10 bus route are Volunteer Park and the Seattle Art Museum’s Asian art collection.

Also lovingly known as "Pill Hill", this bustling Seattle neighborhood is is home to major health care facilities such as Swedish, Virginia Mason, Harborview and countless clinics. For eclectic shopping, dining and nightlife, check out the growing scene along the Pike-Pine Corridor between 12th and 14th Avenues East.

Wander north from the Stadium District and you’re in Pioneer Square. Wander a bit west and pick up the Waterfront with it’s ferry dock, restaurants and attractions. Now,walk just another few minutes and when you get to the Aquarium, cross the street and you’re at the base of the Market Hill Climb leading to Pike Place Market.

Picture yourself decked out in Sounder line walking to a Sounders game! No parking. No commuting. How nice. When you live at Pontedera you have major league football, baseball and soccer right in your neighborhood.

The swath of Seattle between Pontedera and Columbia City has been cited as one of the nation’s most diverse neighborhoods. Commonly known as the Rainer Valley, the area is now served by the LINK Light Rail, great transit service and is home to a myriad of ethnic restaurants, shops and gardens and great parks. A tip for walkers and bikers, check out the new Chief Sealth Trail, an off-round, park route laced along the City Light right-of-way.

Seattle’s International District has received wide acclaim for its rich diversity, blending elements of Asia with main-stream American Life. The nice part is that it’s just a short walk or bike ride from Pontedera.
